AMD has just released its new Phenom triple- and quad-core processors. The quad-core parts are B3 stepping, which means they don't have the TLB bug that plagued the earlier Phenoms: X4 9850 (2.5 GHz, with unlocked multipliers and 4000 MHz HyperTransport bus), 9750 (2.4 GHz), 9650 (2.3 GHz) and 9550 (2.2 GHz). The quads have 95-125 watts TDP, but there is also a 65-watt quad called 9100e, which runs at 2.1 GHz.
The triple-core procs are the 8x00 parts: 8400 is 2.1 GHz and the 8600 is 2.3 GHz.
Prices are here
I can't wait to have my hands on one of these babies as I will be upgrading my PC soon.
